Soccer Party for Students..
Dear Girls And Boys,
Once again it’s time to play soccer with Sensational Football. Grab your friends – 4-6 players on each team either boys or girls, not mixed - and come play Saturday the March 10th - we play at the Football Factory in Copenhagen.
It is a soccer tournaments where we focus on the social values – having fun with the sport and people we love.
Therefore, it’s a day of love, soccer, beer, hanging out, music and lovely prizes for best costume, karma, supporters and of course first and second place. There must be a minimum of 2 students on a team so that one can be allowed to participate.
Come on over and Hang out all day
- The matches will start at. 14.00 and run all day, there will be plenty of other activities with DJs who play good music.
Free Sandwich & Heineken
- When and If you are out of the tournament, we give you free sandwiches and 6 pcs Heineken Beer. And hope you will stick around and join our afterparty at.21.00, where we Party with Lulu Rouge, Rosa Lux, Thomas Madvig etc. There will be low priced Bar and open to all of your friends.

A day of love and Football…
It is this Saturday that we are hosting the Sensational Street Soccer New Years Cup together with FodboldFabrikken.. And we can’t wait.. It’s gonna be a day of soccer, hangout and talking about the year to come – what do you think we should be doing in 2012 and what do you want to participate in?..
We collected a hole lot of wonderful prices for the winning teams – remember it is not just about winning the tournament but also about having Orange Feeling, Best Karma, Best outfit, Best Team Name.. We got cool prizes from: ROSKILDE FESTIVAL 2012, hummel, Taschen, TapasBaren, Gran Teater, Vega, Tak For Kaffe, Cover, Essie, Øbro Bade, Jurlique, Heiniken, FodboldFabrikken, MaleBog, Gajol and so on.. What is Crowdfunding?
It is a great opportunity for fans and supporters to help Sensational Football grow globally.
Sensational 1 is a football specifically created for women.
The ball is made and designed to meet scientific facts about women’s anatomy and the demands for a better ball made by players and coaches. It is created by a group of people established in the football community in close cooperation with leading sports scientists.
Ongoing scientific research in Denmark, Sweden, and Germany so far have proved that playing with an adapted ball has a huge impact on women’s football and creates a faster and a safer game. The ball has been approved by the Danish Football Association (DBU).
Using crowdfunding, we want to produce and distribute the next 5,000 Sensational footballs. This will give us the opportunity to expand our work and to include more football associations, clubs and players. This again will help us build an even stronger case, creating equal rights for female players in the game.

The game of football finally offers a chance for female players to play the game at equal levels – just the way other sports have done it for decades.
By allowing female players to use a smaller and lighter ball, we can finally reduce the injuries and create a faster and more attractive game. With the support of national football associations, soccer moms and dads, players, organizations, coaches, clubs, companies, and other fantastic women and men, our goal is to convince FIFA to change the rules regarding the dimensions of the women’s football.
Sensational Football, founded and owned by Majken Gilmartin, is a small Danish company with a full-time staff of three people. All money raised will go towards giving female players around the world the chance to play with a ball designed for women.
Sensational so far:
7000 balls distributed in Denmark
300 balls in Westchester, New York USA
600 balls in Hessen Germany
400 in Sweden
50 at Glasgow Celtic’s women in Scotland
We need to expand further as Spain, England and Norway have shown interest in the ball and we would love to move fast. A quick reaction will improve the chances of reducing ACL injuries and the women’s game radically.

Doing research requires gathering a large amount of data from players. We are grateful for the support received from those who have purchased the ball, The Danish Football Association, Nordea Bank foundation, German FA, University of Copenhagen, Aarhus and Landau, Germany.
FUNDING HISTORY
2007: Scientists and players at all levels get involved and produce the first test balls.
2008: The first 3000 Sensational 1 balls are produced with great support from City Hall of Copenhagen, former Lord Mayor Ritt Bjerregaard, and DIF, the Danish Sports Association. Majken personally produced the movie “Rich Kids” and placed a major amount of her earnings into the project.
2009: Permission to play with the Sensational 1 in under-18 girl’s leagues is given by the Danish FA.
2009: Additional 5000 balls are made – sold/distributed to clubs involved in the research all over Denmark.
2010: The first phase of the research study is finished after two years. We successfully proved that using the ball creates a faster game and a reduction in stress-related injuries.
2011: Nordea Bank Foundation and the Danish FA granted 412.000 DKK to the project. The funds are for a detailed research study on ACL injuries involving 3000 players between 15 and 19 years old.
2011: Crowdfunding is launched.
