Street Tournament

Sensational Street Soccer was nominated/honored Best Grassroots Project by UEFA.

For the last eight years, we have done street and music festival football/soccer tournaments. Thousands of women have played over the years. We have worked closely together with companies like Cover, Metroxpress, ELLE, Hummel, Roskilde Music Festival, Cola Light, and Ga-jol. We want to reach the urban woman, who will go play even if she has never touched a ball before.

To get women, who never really played the game before, to sign up for the first – and only – football tournament designed especially for them
To get the women to say: “Maybe we don’t know how to play football, but we do it anyway – and we have great fun and it doesn’t take long before you are caught up in the thrill of wining.”
To have women discover, that football is a fun game, which easily can be learned and which creates new networks and great experiences.

To make Sensational Street Soccer a worldwide street soccer tournament – for women

Year 2004: More than 2000 women sign up for the first edition of Sensational Street Soccer in the center of beautiful Copenhagen. 512 women played – 64 teams – one fantastic event. The tournament is now an annual event in June and August. Several thousand women play each year.

Mission:
To spread the Sensational Street Soccer concept globally by adding tournaments in major cities and Festivals worldwide.
To create awareness about football as the number one activity for improving your health and fighting lifestyle diseases such as high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.
To promote the ongoing change of tendencies and trends in sports and fuel the “new” tribal behavior surrounding grassroots football.
To build a worldwide tournament where other cool evens are revolved around playing football. Sensational Events, directed at our primary target group – not to mention the once they love to hang out with.

Target group: Modern female cosmopolitan and fashion-oriented football enthusiasts aged 18 +.
